Hymn of the Month - August: O Face Divine!

For my HYMN OF THE MONTH, I have chosen a hymn written by Miss Eliza Allen Starr and composed by Sister Mary Alexis Donnelly, R.S.M. Both women and their contributions to Catholic music have largely been forgotten by all but few vintage organist and hymnologist. Please take a moment to read more about these two wonderful Catholic women and the fruits of their labor.

I have been a minister of music for almost 40 years, and I am, primarily, an ear-trained pianist/composer. I am hoping that, becoming a member, I will be able to find sheet music (mostly, lead sheets, if available), that also contain the guitar chords, as I, typically, see them, and then, improvise, accordingly.
