The Bitter Passion and Glory

"The Bitter Passion and Glory" is the dramatic third installment of The Emmerich Trilogy — a powerful sacred presentation based on the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich and the Bible. Written for flexible cast, narrators, and ensemble voices, this work traces the final hours of Christ’s earthly life: from Gethsemane to the Resurrection and Ascension. Designed for performance during Lent or Holy Week, the script and ten songs move seamlessly between spoken narrative, intimate solos, and choral climaxes. Audience participation options (“Crucify Him!,” “Do this in memory of me,” “He is risen indeed”) make it ideal for parish, school, or community presentation. Scored for Soloists, SATB with Piano accompaniment. Songs included: "In Gethsemane", "This Is My Body, This Is My Blood", "When The Rooster Cried", "And By His Stripes We Are Healed", "Pilate's Reckoning", "Cradle To The Cross", "Your Mercy Is My Freedom", "Oh, What Deep Woes (Pieta Mater Dolorosa)", "It Is Finished", "That Easter Morning". All songs are also available separately and have accompaniment tracks.
