1 ) O Holy Spirit of Love and truth
Give us today your will to know and do
that we become as one
Faithful daughters and sons
2 ) O Holy Spirit lead us more deeply
In knowledge of the Father and Son
and live like them as one
So that all may know their savior has come
3 )In our failures and sorrows
You prune us back for us togrow
And help us to pray as only you can
Like Jesus our Lord true God and man
O come Holy Spirit of divine fire
Come inflame our holy desires
fill all our hearts with pure truth and love
That With all our heart we'll seek heaven above
For you are advocate the Paraclete,
You defend us when we are weak
the living wellspring, love and truth
You make us God’s children eternal youths
In graces you are sevenfold,
the Finger of God’s strong right hand,
and you, the Father’s promised one,
adorn our tongues with grace filled truth
Come, fill our senses with your light,
That we may know you with pure delight
the weakness of our mortal frame
make strong with pow’r like that of the Son
Drive far from us our deadly foe
and swiftly grant us lasting peace;
with you to guide and lead the way,
may we avoid all harm and sin.
Now through your presence may we know
and love the Father and the Son;
and you, the Spirit of them both,
may we profess throughout all time. Amen.
