1) When we turn from you to idolatry
We worship self and our ideologies
And see each other as enemies
And the devil fuels fires of enmity.
2) How do all wars come to be
Through pride, greed, and idolatry
You tell us in scripture and history
Handwriting on walls and prophecy

Help us who know and worship thee
To know and fight our infernal enemy
To persevere and be witnesses of You
As you come to make all things new
3) A dim gloom taints the atmosphere
A subconscious unspoken fear
That nuclear war may be near
Something we can almost see and hear
4) Help us to remain in joyful hope
And not place our hope in earthly wealth
that you may be for ever praised
by us who raise our songs to you

For ALL our good and your glory
For most to be saved you don’t delay
Your will be done – wholeheartedly we pray
