“All the Law and the Prophets” is an original sacred song inspired by Matthew 22:34–40 and Jesus’ teaching on the greatest commandments. When asked which commandment is the greatest, Jesus answers with perfect clarity: love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. He then joins this command to another: love your neighbor as yourself. Upon these two commandments rest all the Law and the Prophets. This song reflects on the truth that faith cannot be reduced to rules alone. Every commandment finds its meaning and fulfillment in love. The refrain becomes a prayer of surrender, asking God to gather all that we say and do and bring it back to the love from which every true act of faith begins.
