If you’re reading this blog, you already know about the benefits of developing musical proficiencies. I mean, you’re a musician, right?
But lots of people just aren’t aware of how music education can positively affect a young person’s entire development, from a boost in learning and verbal skills, to better grades and SAT scores, to just — ya know —feeling good about life in general.
As arts funding is continually threatened (or outright cut from budgets), it’s more important than ever to spread the word about the many benefits of a musical education. The University of Florida has done just that with an informative and entertaining infographic.
