1 )This is the day of our risen lord,
Filled with glorious joy and holy light,
on which his sacred blood has washed
both shame and guilt from all the world
2 )Rejoice, O Saints let all of us sing
Glorious hymns to our Lord and risen king
for after death upon the Cross
Christ rose again and gave us eternal life.
REFRAIN
This is the day of Jesus our Lord
We sing of in one holy accord
Of his passion, death, and rising in glory
Of his glorious return bringing us home
3 ) We who live in grace because of
Your pure self sacrificial love
Live doing our Father’s holy will
Know all your promises you’ll fulfill
4 )What could be more sublime to know
that guilt should seek the gift of grace,
that charity should cast out fear,
and your death seed eternal life

5) How wondrous is this mystery:
That your dying end the reign of death
And take away the guilt of all
and wash away all our sins
6 )The Glorious day is eternally now
the day of your redemptive pow’r,
on which your blood shed for us
Will consume the world by your love
