At just 14 years old, St. José Luis Sánchez del Río was martyred during the Cristero War in Mexico for refusing to deny Christ. His final words—“Viva Cristo Rey!” (“Long live Christ the King!”)—have become a rallying cry for courage, conviction, and faithful witness.
