The Beatitudes is a fitting song for communion, offertory or even as a processional or gathering for this Sunday 4th of Ordinary Time Year A. The theme of the Sermon on the Mount, specificaly the Beatitudes, is best represented as they were spoken by the Lord himself. There's no need to rephrase, translate or even elaborated when it is not necessary. The words of Matthew 5:3-11 are perfect as they are, and this iss what Peter Kearney has almost done. He simply sang them. This is a cover by Erwin Cabucos.
