1 The Church calls us to follow you
For forty days with abstinence
and she decrees a lenten fast
to heal and save our fragile minds and hearts.
2 )HELP us fast from the sights and sounds
Of the worldly sites that abound
That distract and drags us down
Where subtle half truths and temptations abound

3 )Our culture moves with hyper speed
With constant ads with things _ we don’t need
And the devil sows deceptive. Seeds
That flatters our pride, lust and ease
4 )Easy to be caught up in the work of our hands
And enthralled by our utopian plans
making machines that know more than we can
Worshipping ourselves and works of our hands

5 )The slow growth of weeds over time
Can seem like wheat and all seems fine
Help us us see the weeds in our life
This lent and of them one by one repent
6 )Help us become more contemplative
And know you deeply and in your Spirit live
That your holy will be fulfilled
That he who sees you. sees me

God and brother
Sounds wrong but it isn't.
"Machines that know more that we can" That is a good way of putting it. That is what we claim and it is a kind of ascribing to an idol things that they can't do. The AI has knowing but it cannot know.
