“Your Word Is Always Given” is a reflective meditation hymn inspired by the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13:1–23. In this Gospel passage, Jesus describes how the seed of God’s Word is scattered everywhere—along the path, among rocky ground, among thorns, and into good soil. The hymn invites us to reflect on the condition of our own hearts and to ask God to prepare the soil within us so His Word may truly take root.
Written in a calm, prayerful style, this piece is ideal for Communion, meditation, Eucharistic adoration, or quiet moments of prayer. The verses retell the movement of the parable while the refrain becomes a simple prayer: that God’s living Word may grow within us and bear fruit in our lives.
May this hymn help us listen more deeply, receive the Word with open hearts, and allow God’s grace to transform us.
