This song by the Australian Fr Frank Andersen, MSC, I reckon, makes a great recessional or sending forth hymn because it shows connection and care in the name of faith between two Christians.

I think it also makes a thoughtful prayerful anthem for All Soul's Day because it conveys a caring link between the speaker in the lyrics and another person in faith, who could mean someone alive or dead.

The lyrics are taken from the first part of Philemon, chapter 1, verses 3-11 to be exact, and the melody is rather joyful and sprightly.

Has anyone heard of Fr. William Jurgens? He composed a Mass in Honor of Our Lady of the Lake, Gregorian Institute of America. 1966/67. (lyrics and music by Fr. William Jurgens). He was a priest in the Cleveland Diocese and the Mass was composed for patroness of St. Mary Seminary in Cleveland. I'm currently in contact with diocesen archives to see if there anything about a Mass in Fr. Jurgen's file.

In the 1990 catalog of American Masses and Requiems, it's listed arranged for TTB & organ with optional congregational; 15 minutes long.

This new Marian hymn asks for comfort and healing from the Lord through the intercession of the Blessed Mother. It's great for any Marian feast, bringing into focus, Mary's role in our lives, especially on her role as an intercessor to Jesus and for our healing.
